Grumpy Little Man

Unfortunately, Andy's fever only got worse during the night and reached a high of 102.4 When they get 103 then doctors will usually want to see them or have them go to Primary Children's Hospital if it's during night hours. We called the doctor who was on call during the night and she said to give him an hour to see if the temperature would come down and if he would take fluids. If those things didn't happen then we would have to take him to the hospital. We decided to bribe him with cranberry juice. He loves sweet juice and we needed him to take in fluids so we let him chug all the juice his little heart wanted. I also took off his shirt because he was almost on fire. That did the trick because an hour later we were able to get his temperature to 100.7 I am really glad we didn't have to make a trip to the hospital and I am even more glad that he got some relief. In the morning (after very little sleep) we took him the his doctor. She said that teething wasn't the cause for all the grumpiness and fevers; he definitely had a bug. Poor little guy. He's on Motrin right now and pedialyte. We just have to wait for it to go away because it's viral. He might have caught it from a kid a church because our doctor told us she as seen so many children in the last two weeks with the same symptoms. Tonight was much better than last night and he is peacefully slumbering away... Let's hope he can stay that way! Say some prayers for our cute little guy, he's pretty upset at the world right now, being sick AND teething is NO fun at all!

Sick Baby...

I'm so sad. Andy has a fever, 100.9 degrees and he's pretty miserable. It was hard to get him to sleep but as soon as he did fall asleep he zonked out pretty good. For right now I think it's okay to watch him. He is teething, he has a small little tooth popping out of his bottom gums and fever and diarrhea are common symptoms while teething. If he has a real hard time during the night or if the fever isn't gone in the morning I will call his pediatrician. Matthew gave him a blessing to help him have comfort. It was the first blessing he has giving Andy besides his baby blessing. I feel bad for the poor little guy and will be watching him very carefully tonight, probably getting no sleep myself. It's always so hard to watch him have a hard time. I really wish I could just make him better instantly.

Monkeying Around With Pops

This is another page that I just did tonight on the computer. For all those who Pops has neglected to tell ,which should be very few because Pops tells everyone; Andy and Pops were born on the same day 80 years apart. Techincally 3 minutes apart because Andy was born at 11:57 pm on the 7th and Pops was born on the 8th, but if you consider that Andy was born in Utah and Pops was born in Michigan than you'll realize they are birthday buddies! The pictures are of Pops and Andy playing together on the floor with his stuffed monkey. What a pair of cute boys!

License and Registration Please....

Grandpa Randy put his sunglasses on Andy and he looked just like a state trooper! I laughed as I imaginged him saying "Do you know why I pulled you over ma'am? I clocked you doing 80 in a 65 mph zone..." Hey, he even has his little sheriff badge on his shirt!

Photoshop

I took a class over the weekend to learn how to scrapbook digitally. I really love doing it! I came home and made this page myself. I need a lot more practice but I'll post pages as I learn.

Andy Sorts My Laundry! What a helper...

The other day I was going through Andy's clothes sorting out which clothes still fit him and which ones were too small. I was also trying to pick out clothes that aren't warm enough for him to wear anymore. I had about 3 piles of clothes on the floor and 1 big pile of clothes I was looking through. What was strange to me though is that a lot of the clothes I thought I had already sorted kept winding up back in the big pile I was going through. I thought I was losing my mind until I looked behind me to see Andy throwing clothes from my sorted piles back into my huge pile. He was throwing them as fast as he could, not even stopping to look at them. It was one of the cutest things he's ever done. I had to get a video of him 'doing the laundry' because it's one of his favorite things to do now!
